The Daily Bee: Another Day, Another Erling Haaland Hat-trick

You might call it an Erling Haatrick.

Good morning, everyone.

We all know that Erling Haaland is an insanely talented footballer. Hammering this point over and over again feels repetitive after a while, but I only do it because I feel it’s so important that we appreciate him while we have him. We should feel privileged not only that we get to watch him every week for Borussia Dortmund, but simply that we’re able to watch him in the Bundesliga at all. Yesterday, he helped Norway put Gibraltar to the sword, scoring a hat-trick in the process. Defeating Gibraltar isn’t exactly a significant feat, but Haaland’s mere presence on the pitch made it fun to watch. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such an explosive and entertaining player, at least in the Bundesliga.

Just look at this video that went viral:

Could you imagine having to stop that? You’d better wrap your hands in kevlar!

Haaland wasn’t the only BVB player to score yesterday. Donyell Malen scored for the Netherlands in their 6-1 dismantling of Turkey, and the young striker Youssoufa Moukoko scored for the German U-21s.

The Daily Buzz

The UEFA World Cup Qualifiers are great because they feature a bunch of teams like San Marino that are tiny nations or, like Gibraltar, aren’t even independent countries at all. Which UEFA meme country is your favorite? Mine is the Faroe Islands.
