Good morning, everyone.

If you ask any Borussia Dortmund fan, a good portion of them will say that the single thing that drew them most to BVB was the atmosphere at the club’s legendary stadium, the Westfalenstadion. When filled with more than 80,000 screaming and singing fans, the stadium becomes a fortress that away teams dread. Unfortunately, when the COVID pandemic forced all those fans to stay home, the stadium lost a lot of its character.

Now, however, the stadium is taking another step towards returning to its glory. So far, 25,000 fans have been allowed into the stadium. Starting October 16th with BVB’s game against Mainz, 50,000 fans will be allowed into the stadium. While it’s nowhere near the stadium’s full capacity, it should definitely boost the atmosphere over what it is now.

Robert Lewandowski Wins the Golden Boot

Following his 41 goal season that broke Gerd Muller’s Bundesliga record, Robert Lewandowski was awarded the European Golden Boot.

Up next is the question of whether or not France Football will award him the Ballon d’Or. When they declined to award the trophy to anybody last year, Bayern fans lost their minds, so you can expect a similar outcry when FF inevitably gives the award to Jorginho or some other player. While such an outcry would be kind of hilarious, it’s also hard to argue that it wouldn’t be merited on some level.
