Good morning, Fear the Wall.
Despite a hectic ending and ablown clean sheet, Borussia Dortmund’s players seem to be mostly satisfied with their 4-2 victory against Union Berlin yesterday. Thomas Meunier, whose beautiful assist to Erling Haaland helped lead the club to victory, was particularly impressive. His cross earned him a new moniker from Jude Bellingham, who invoked the image of one of England’s greats:

Personally, I would prefer calling David the “Belgian Meunier”, but I’ll defer to Jude on this one.
Mats Hummels, on the other hand, was less than happy with BVB’s defensive performance:
Actually things were looking clear after the 3-0 win and Union had accepted that we would win the game. Then we let them back in because we played a bit dubious and not winning football. Unfortunately, this is how we make our opponents strong again and again. We’ve known the problems - for about two years and three months that I’ve been here again. But we find it very difficult to turn them off.
Dan-Axel Zagadou’s Return is on the Horizon
Following a serious knee surgery he underwent earlier this year, fan favorite Dan-Axel “Big Zag” Zagadou’s return to Borussia Dortmund finally appears to be on the horizon. It may still be a few more weeks or even a month until he returns to play, but the light is absolutely at the end of the tunnel. According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Zagadou is getting ready to return to training with the squad, as his lengthy rehab from his operation comes to a close. It’s a good thing that he’s recovering too, because also according to RN, Zagadou is still in the club’s long-term plans, and he could be up for a contract extension before it expires in 2022.
