Good morning, everyone. If you’re reading this during your lunch break, keep it up: you’re halfway through the week.
After a few quiet months, Borussia Dortmund’s transfer activity is picking back up again. Just yesterday, Thomas Delaney arrived in Spain ahead of his transfer to Sevilla. Further rumors indicate that BVB are on the verge of signing Marcel Halstenberg. Now, in addition to the Leipzig left back, Bild is reporting that Dortmund are expressing interest in Valentino Lazaro:
Bild reports Inter’s Valentino Lazaro is on Dortmund’s radar. The versatile Austrian intl was on loan at Gladbach under current BVB coach Marco Rose last term & scored a memorable scorpion kick goal against Leverkusen. He’s out of the picture at Inter & can leave for 7 mil Euro.

Valentino Lazaro played about 1200 minutes in the Bundesliga under Marco Rose with Borussia Mönchengladbach last season. He’s versatile, and can serve as either a right back or a right winger. While his statistical profile doesn’t exactly pop out at me—his passing metrics are in the bottom quartile for both full backs and wingers— he’s certainly a better option than Felix Passlack.
“Financial stability? F$%k that!” — Real Madrid, Probably
After a few years of inactivity on the transfer market while reforming their finances, Real Madrid have plunged back headfirst into the transfer market with a massive traansfer offer. According to Fabrizio Romano, Los Blancos have bid more than €160 million for Kylian Mbappé. The young Frenchman reportedly wants to leave Paris, either now or next summer, so you’d think that PSG would be looking to cash in while they still can.

Well, if they were a normal football club they might, but because PSG have basically infinite money, they rejected the deal. PSG reportedly want at least €200 million. Will Real Madrid spend that much? Considering they could potentially sign Mbappé for free next season, doing so seems unadvisable. But it’s Real Madrid after all, so we’ll see.
