According to SPORT1’s Patrick Berger, Borussia Dortmund are unlikely to make a move for Noni Madueke this summer, but they are interested in the player for the future.
The club met with the Madueke’s representatives, and all parties are potentially interested in bringing him to Dortmund in the future, but it looks unlikely that this will be over the summer. That is in part due to PSV Eindhoven’s reluctance to sell the young English prospect right now.
Update Noni Madueke: #BVB and player (father/agents already been in Dortmund) can imagine to work together. But a transfer this summer is not expected. PSV Eindhoven have no plans to sell the right-winger. Only a high bid could be a deal breaker. Transfer next year more likely.

Berger states that a transfer might be on the cards next summer, and given the various needs that BVB have, and the limited financial resources, that makes a lot of sense to me. Madueke is a real talent, but he stands to benefit from a year in PSV’s first team. Meanwhile, that clears the way for Dortmund to focus on Donyell Malen, who Berger states is still top of the shopping list for BVB.
#BVB still very interested in Donyell Malen. The 22-year-old Dutchmen is the top target to replace Jadon Sancho. The attacker is also keen to join Dortmund. But no official bid so far. Borussia want to push down the €30m asking price of PSV Eindhoven. @SPORT1

If Dortmund can grab Malen for €30m, that should allow room for another addition, perhaps a certain Jeremiah St. Juste? I’m just spitballing here.
