Good Morning Fear The Wall
There’s still no official announcement on Donyell Malen. There’s not a lot of point in me saying any more about him until it is official, but it’ll probably be in the next couple days.
Elsewhere, BVB are reportedly interested in Turkish center back Merih Demiral, who has been at Juventus for a couple years now, but has been unable to break into the first team with any regularity. He’s only 23 years old, and is a decent talent, so it could be a solid move for Dortmund.
#BVB interested in centre-back Merih Demiral? Yes! There are talks between Borussia and his agents since weeks but not in advanced stage. Dortmund definitely not gonna pay €35m (Juventus asking price). They think about a loan deal with option to buy. Talks ongoing. ⚫️ @SPORT1

The price tag seems a little high, but as Patrick Berger says, there is some chance of a loan with an option to buy. I think this would be a great move for Borussia Dortmund, if that’s what they can swing.
Zagadou Out for Another Two to Three Months
BVB’s center back depth was already a relatively obvious issue, with injuries to Mats Hummels, Soumaila Coulibaly, and Dan Axel Zagadou, but the latest news out of Bad Ragaz really hammer that point home. Kicker is reporting that Zagadou will need another two to three months before he is ready to return to the pitch.
Zagadou, speaking at a press conference, said “I’m fine. But I expect that I still have some time ahead of me and will need about two to three months”.
At this point, it’s impossible to rely on Zagadou’s fitness at any point. Plan like he won’t be around, and if he is, then great news. It’s a real shame that this is happening to such a talented kid.

Would you take Demiral on a loan to buy deal?
