The Daily Bee: Jadon Sancho, Free at Last

The BVB Englishman finally got a handful of minutes at the EUROs

Good morning, everyone!

You know, it’s kind of funny. For all the clamor and outrage regarding Gareth Southgate sitting Jadon Sancho in the first two matches of England’s EURO 2020 group stage, the Three Lions have soldiered on to win their group on the back of two victories, all without conceding a goal. Maybe Gareth Southgate actually knows what he’s doing? I don’t know. He’s played Jude Bellingham plenty, so does his Bundesliga bias not extend to him?

Anyway, England defeated the Czech Republic 1-0 thanks to Raheem Sterling, another apparent fraud that should’ve been benched for Sancho.

Anyway, the so-called “group of death” is finishing up today. France will play Portugal and Germany will play Hungary. Germany looks poised to advance to the knockout round with a win, while Portugal will need to defeat France to leapfrog into the top two into a guaranteed spot. I wish the best of luck to Raphael Guerreiro, Mats Hummels, and Emre Can, the BVB players involved in this group.
