And Wales don’t look too far behind them

Good Morning Fear The Wall

Italy became the first team to qualify for the knockout stages of the European Championships, after a 3-0 victory over Switzerland. Two goals from Manuel Locatelli all but won the game for Italy, before Immobile put the icing on the cake. Italy are now two from two, having won both games 3-0, and looking good going into the knockouts.

Interestingly, Borussia Dortmund have emerged as one of the clubs pursuing yesterday’s man of the match, Manuel Locatelli.

Earlier in the day, Russia beat Finland 1-0 and Wales edged closer to the knockout stages with a 2-0 victory over Turkey.

Lucien Favre in the Running for Crystal Palace Job

Former Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre has been linked to a few different jobs since leaving the club halfway through last season, but it looks like he is fielding calls from the Premier League now. Favre is one of the front-runners for the Crystal Palace job, and he is rumored to be in the running for the Everton vacancy too.

Palace are a likeable club, with a nice set of fans, and in beautiful South London. I think it would be a good move for Favre, and he would make them very easy to root for.
