Manuel Veth from Forbes claims that Malen potential move to Dortmund seems to be closer than we believe it was several weeks ago. Due to this, there is an understanding that a deal potential move is quite close.

The 22-year-old attacker might not be a direct replacement for Sancho, but he will add to their attacking power as he is considered a natural goalscorer, and a centre-forward, while Sancho is known as the skilful winger who loves to assists just as much as he loves finding the back of the net.

Malen has been impressive for his Dutch club, and he has spent much time in the wings for both club and country during his professional career. So his links to Germany could be understood as the club could easilya find a spot for him in their attacking lineup.

Malen moved through the ranks in the Arsenal academy and then moved to join Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven back in 2018. In the 2020/21 campaign, the 22-year-old was able to register 27 goals and nine assists this season after recovering from knee surgery in late 2019.

The Signal Iduna Park could be the next best move for the player, as it will test his youngster's ability in Europe's top leagues. Plus, Dortmund also has a reputation for developing young talents into the top elite in Europe.

However, Dortmund is not the only club targeting the Dutch attacker as reports have it that 2019/20 Premier League winner Liverpool have also entered the race to sign the player. He could be available this summer for a price as low as £26 million, with jeux de casino citing this report.

He is currently performing his country duties with the Netherlands in the European Championships; he was introduced in their 3-2 victory against Ukraine on Sunday as a late substitute.
