Good morning, everyone. Happy Friday, and Happy EURO day.
It’s been a long five year wait, but the European Championships are finally upon us. The EUROs, more than anything in the world, make me wish I lived in Europe. I’ve never actually been in Europe while the tournament was happening, but at least in my imagination the continent turns into one giant party for a month. I won’t be able to go this year, but I hope in 2024 I can go to Europe and spend some time meeting fans and maybe even go to a few games.
The tournament starts today with an interesting matchup between two decent teams, Italy and Turkey. Neither team is much of a favorite to actually win the tournament, although I’d pick Italy to go further than Turkey. That’s the only match today, but there will be three matches tomorrow.
Bayern Selling Kingsley Coman?
According to L’Équipe, Bayern have placed a €100 million price tag on Kingsley Coman. A few days ago, rumors emerged that Manchester United might be pursuing Coman as a potential alternative to Sancho. However, this price tag may be enough to scare them off.
Bayern will not sell Kingsley Coman this summer for anything less than €100m. Julian Nagelsmann is counting on the Frenchman for next season [@lequipe]

I see this as Bayern effectively rejecting any interest from United. Unless the price tag is highly lucrative, I think Coman will be staying with Bayern next year.
