Welcome to Fear The Wall’s weekly recap of each Borussia Dortmund loanee’s performance at their respective clubs. BVB have four players out on loan, whose loans all end on June 30, 2021. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to leave them in the comments.


Leonardo Balerdi (CB)

Olympique Marseille (Ligue 1)

An even 100 touches on the afternoon for Leonardo Balerdi in Olympique Marseille’s 3-2 win over FC Lorient on April 17th. Balerdi played the full 90 and received his 5th yellow card of the season, so he’ll be suspended for the next game. He also had one shot, three drawn fouls, and three committed fouls.

Balerdi has two goals, one assist, five yellow cards, and one red card in 16 appearances (15 starts) in Ligue 1.

Sergio Gómez (AM)

SD Huesca (La Liga)

And SD Huesca is back in the relegation zone. They lost 1-0 to fellow bottom-dweller Deportivo Alavés on April 18th. Sergio Gómez was subbed on in the 68th minute. He did nothing of note, as the game was a bit of a sleeping pill.

Gómez has one assist and one yellow card in 22 La Liga appearances (two starts).

Immanuel Pherai (AM)

PEC Zwolle (Eredivisie)

There were no Eredivisie games this week.

Immanuel Pherai remains at one goal, two assists, and one yellow card in 24 Eredivisie appearances (13 starts).

Marius Wolf (RW)

1. FC Köln (Bundesliga)

In their first game this week, the 1. FC Köln lost 3-0 to Bayer 04 Leverkusen on April 17th. Marius Wolf was subbed off after 85 minutes. He had one shot, seven shot-creating actions, one committed foul, and four drawn fouls.

On April 20th, Köln got their first win in 10 games against RB Leipzig, of all teams. The Geißböcke knocked off the Red Bulls 2-1. Wolf was subbed off after 66 minutes. He drew one foul along with having one shot- and one goal-creating action.

Wolf has two goals, two assists, and two yellow cards in 27 Bundesliga appearances (26 starts).
