It was a rough start to the game that threatened to ruin an otherwise excellent weekend for Borussia Dortmund, going down 1-0 to a Milot Rashica goal. However it didn’t take long for BVB, in their one-off black and neon kits, to turn it round, with a screamer from Reyna and a Haaland penalty. It was relatively easy going from there, and the game finished 4-1, as Haaland and Hummels added to the tally. Dortmund are now just four points off the top four, and will face Wolfsburg before the end of the season. The comeback might be on?
Gio Reyna
There were a few moans and groans when Reyna got the start, but he looked much improved today. He scored Dortmund’s equalizer, and it was a peach of a strike to draw things level. The goal looked like the confidence boost Reyna desperately needed, as he was much more lively today.
Marco Reus
His performance wasn’t quite as loud as two others on this list, but he was a big part of a lot of BVB’s best moments. Came close to scoring on a couple of occasions.
Erling Haaland
Almost had his hattrick on several occasions, but will have to settle for the doppelpack (much better word for it than a brace). He has gone a few games without scoring for Dortmund, so it was good to see him back on the scoreboard.
Jude Bellingham
I was toying between Bellingham and Dahoud for the fourth spot on the list, but Bellingham played the full match, and was solid throughout, so I’m giving him the nod. At this point it will be hard to justify benching him for any of the remaining games this season.
