With a vital match against Bayern Munich on the horizon, Borussia Dortmund will have to travel to the Allianz Arena and face the league leaders while missing three key players. The club announced earlier today that Jadon Sancho, Raphael Guerreiro, and Gio Reyna will remain in Dortmund over the weekend, and will therefore miss this important match.
Unfortunately, Jadon Sancho, Raphaël Guerreiro, and Gio Reyna will not be traveling with the squad to Munich.

Both Jadon Sancho and Raphael Guerreiro started Tuesday’s match against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the DFB Pokal, and were eventually subbed off. Apparently both players were feeling the effects of injuries, but started anyway. That decision looks like it will come back to haunt manager Edin Terzic, who now must figure out a lineup without his best full back and winger. This likely means that Nico Schulz and Thorgan Hazard, neither of whom has seen significant minutes this season, will be thrown into the proverbial hornet’s nest.
Hopefully, with Guerreiro and Sancho staying in Dortmund, they will have plenty of time to recover. BVB have an important match against Sevilla on Tuesday, and having these two players fully fit would be very beneficial to the club’s Champions League aspirations.
