Good morning, everyone. Happy Friday.
It’s the last day before Der Klassiker, and I feel a strange lack of hype for this one. Maybe it’s just because there’s an overwhelming wave of pessimism surrounding the club? I get the sense that most Borussia Dortmund fans aren’t expecting a win. While I know that it’s only a 90 minute game and anything can happen, it’s really hard to be optimistic, especially with two of BVB’s best players in Raphael Guerreiro and Jadon Sancho injured.
Honestly, with an important match against Sevilla next Tuesday in the Champions League, part of me is thinking that BVB should just pack it in, throw Reinier out onto the pitch for 90 minutes against Bayern, and save their strength for the Spaniards. But that also feels like defeatism, and I know the race for the top four is also a high priority, and getting any points against Bayern would be great. I’m not sure, what are your thoughts?
Wow, that was a mood-killer. Anyway, here are a few news stories to take your mind off Der Klassiker:

Over in the Premier League, we were treated to a nostalgia trip as two former Borussia Dortmund coaches, Thomas Tuchel and Jurgen Klopp, clashed while at the helms of their respective EPL clubs, Chelsea and Liverpool. In this edition, it was Tuchel who emerged victorious, with a 1-0 victory off a goal from Mason Mount.
