Happy Monday Fear The Wall!
Some of Borussia Dortmund’s young guns have had an impact on their national teams during the latest international break. Jude Bellingham earned his second cap for England, coming off the bench against San Marino, and playing really, really well, and Gio Reyna scored his second goal for the US as he helped them to a 2-1 victory over Northern Ireland. USA’s second goal was scored by former BVB player Christian Pulisic.
You ❤️ to see it.

While the USMNT are done for the international break, Bellingham will have another chance to add to his international caps on Wednesday, when England face Poland. If Bellingham can continue to impress for both BVB and England, he may have a shot at being selected for the European Championships in the summer!
Watzke, Tress, and Cramer Renew Contracts
Elsewhere, the club has renewed the contracts of senior management, including CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke. Watzke’s contract has been extended until 2025.

The Goalkeeper Saga Keeps on Rumbling
Finally, rumors have suggested that BVB are in the market for a new goalkeeper. Dortmund have been linked with a range of goalkeepers all over Europe, and with Hitz recently signing an extension, it seemed as though Roman Burki might be on his way out. However, Ruhr Nachrichten have poured cold water on this idea, reporting that Borussia Dortmund are doing their due diligence on the goalkeeper market, but they don’t have any immediate plans to buy a new goalkeeper.
The decision on who will be BVB’s starting goalkeeper, and whether a new goalkeeper is needed, will be left to Marco Rose when he joins the club in the summer.
I’ve been quite vocal in my view that Dortmund need a new goalkeeper, but I’m not too worried about this report. I think that Marco Rose will want a new goalkeeper, and the work being done now is preparation for that possibility.
The Daily Buzz
I’m watching a QAnon documentary, and today’s Daily Buzz is inspired by that fact. What is the wildest football nonsense that you believe to be true, despite the abundant evidence that it is not? Mine is the belief that Brendan Rodgers is a rubbish manager. I don’t care that basically everything points to the fact that he is actually really good, I will not be swayed. Brendan Rodgers is rubbish.
