Borussia Dortmund have drawn Borussia Mönchengladbach in the DFB Pokal Quarterfinal.

Along with RB Leipzig and Wolfsburg, Mönchengladbach are easily the strongest opponent that BVB could have drawn. Borussia Dortmund faced the foals in the Bundesliga only a few weeks ago. Marco Rose’s squad overcame a pair of first half goals from Erling Haaland to rout BVB 4-2. Borussia Dortmund have been struggling for weeks Edin Terzic. Die Fohlen are also in a bit of a rut, having dropped points in two of their last three games.

It’s definitely shaping up to be an interesting quarterfinal in the DFB Pokal. The other two strongest sides, RB Leipzig and VFL Wolfsburg, both drew each other. Rot-Weiss Essen and Holstein-Kiel also drew eachother, which means that at least one non-Bundesliga club is guaranteed to make it to the semis. If SSV Jahn Regensburg of the 2. Bundesliga defeat Werder Bremen, they could be a second non-Bundesliga side to make it to the next round.

The match between Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach is scheduled for March 2nd. The time has yet to be determined.
