Welcome to Fear The Wall’s weekly recap of each Borussia Dortmund loanee’s performance at their respective clubs. BVB have four players out on loan, whose loans all end on June 30, 2021. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to leave them in the comments.

Leonardo Balerdi (CB)

Olympique Marseille (Ligue 1)

Olympique Marseille took on Paris Saint Germain in the Le Classique on February 7th and lost 2-0. Leonardo Balerdi sat on the bench.

Balerdi has one assist and four yellow cards in eight appearances (seven starts) in Ligue 1.

The Round of 64 match on February 10th was the first match of the Coupe de France for Marseille. They faced off against second-tier team AJ Auxerre and won 2-0. Balerdi played the full 90 and had one shot.

Sergio Gómez (AM)

SD Huesca (La Liga)

Last place SD Huesca took on second place and heavyweight Real Madrid on February 6th. Although they managed to take the lead, in the end Madrid won 2-1. Sergio Gómez sat on the bench the entire match. To which I would like to say this: *clears throat*

You’re getting relegated anyway.

Play.

The.

Kids.

Gómez has one assist in 15 La Liga appearances (two starts).

Immanuel Pherai (AM)

PEC Zwolle (Eredivisie)

PEC Zwolle faced mid-table side RKC Waalwijk on February 6th and drew 1-1. Immanuel Pherai came on in the 65th minute and had two shots, two shot-creating actions, and drew one foul.

Pherai has one goal and two assists in 16 Eredivisie appearances (10 starts).

Marius Wolf (RW)

1. FC Köln (Bundesliga)

It was Rheinderby time on February 6th! The 1. FC Köln won 2-1 over Borussia Mönchengladbach. Wolf was not on the game-day roster, presumably due to that knock he picked up during the Pokal match.

Wolf has two goals, two assists, and two yellow cards in 17 Bundesliga appearances (16 starts).
