The Daily Bee: BVB Eyeing Haller and Schick as Potential Haaland Replacements

But they haven’t given up on the possibility of keeping Haaland for a little longer

Good Morning Fear The Wall

Sport Bild are reporting that Borussia Dortmund are considering moves for Sebastien Haller or Patrik Schick, should Erling Haaland leave the club in the summer. Both Haller and Schick have been in incredible form so far this season. Haller is averaging 0.95 goals and assists (minus pens) per 90 for Ajax in Eredivisie, while Schick is averaging a whopping 1.33 for Bayer Leverkusen this season. Both have experience (and have been successful) in the Bundesliga, and both broadly fit the big lad up top mold that BVB would be looking to replace if Haaland left.

However, it sounds like the club aren’t quite ready to give up on losing Haaland just yet. They are considering offering him a huge contract to keep him for a little longer.

I think it’s very likely that Haaland will be leaving this summer, but given the success Haaland has had at Dortmund, I’m sure Raiola is aware that they don’t need to rush into anything if the right move isn’t available. It’s possible they will consider staying for another season if the right team isn’t there for Haaland’s next move this summer. That said, I’d be surprised, because every single super-rich club in the world will do everything in their power to sign him.

If Haaland leaves in the summer, would you prefer Dortmund sign Haller or Schick?
