Good Morning Fear The Wall
From 28th December, German football will be returning to playing behind closed doors, in an effort to try and curb the spread of the latest variant of Covid-19, Omicron.
From 28 December onwards, all football matches throughout Germany will have to be played behind closed doors. It is unknown how long this will apply.#BVB

Just when we all thought we could start to see the light at the end of the tunnel, the pandemic finds a way to reel us back in, and here we are!
While Germany (and much of Western Europe) is lagging behind the UK a little in terms of the rapid spread of Omicron, there’s every reason to think it is going to catch up with them very soon. It’s unfortunate that the Bundesliga will have to play behind closed doors for the time being, but if it helps save lives, so be it. The data does seem to point to Omicron being less severe, though there’s still a great deal we don’t know, so it’s necessary to close things down a little until more is known.
Hopefully there’s a way out of this in the near future.
