Good morning, everyone. You’re all almost halfway through the week. Three days until Der Klassiker.
America! F—k Yeah
It’s about time we got some positive injury news, right? We had a bit over the weekend when Erling Haaland made a surprise early return, and now we’ve got even more this week. Dare I say, I’m almost feeling a little spoiled?
The American Giovanni Reyna has missed roughly three months with a hamstring injury he suffered on duty with the U.S. Men’s National Team. His injury came at the worst possible time, both because he had gotten off to a hot start to the season, and because it coincided with Haaland’s injury, and left BVB dangerously short on the attack.
Thankfully, BVB revealed yesterday that Reyna has officially returned to training.

Saturday might be too soon for him to return, but it’s possible that he could at least make the bench. Meanwhile, according to RN, Raphael Guerreiro should be ready to play on Saturday, while Jude Bellingham will probably miss the game, as he’s still suffering from a bruised knee and can’t even train with the rest of the squad. Thorgan Hazard will miss the game as he recovers from COVID. Meanwhile, Manuel Akanji and Youssoufa Moukouko were both missing from the team practice for unknown reasons— I presume we’ll have an update sometime today.
