Karim Adeyemi and Marco Asensio are on their way to Dortmund... Apparently?

Good Afternoon (?) Fear The Wall

Welcome to the late, late edition of The Daily Bee. My day job had the audacity to expect me to do lots of work today, so I didn’t have a chance to get to this until now. Rest assured, I plan to quit in the most dramatic fashion tomorrow. Anyway, on to today’s BVB news.

Borussia Dortmund apparently remain the most likely destination for RB Salzburg’s Karim Adeyemi (who are currently playing Wolfsburg, if you’re interested in watching the BVB target).

Piecing together the various reports on the subject of the young German’s future, it would seem that Adeyemi is not keen on Bayern Munich, because of concerns about lack of playing time, but BVB and RB Leipzig are both real possibilities. That is despite clubs from all over Europe (reports of varying credibility suggest PSG, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid are all interested) keeping tabs on him. According to SPORT1, the decision is likely to be made by the end of the month.

Marco Asensio to BVB?!

If you’d like some really leftfield rumors, how about Borussia Dortmund being the team in pole position to sign Marco Asensio from Real Madrid this winter?

I dunno. Sounds like nonsense to me. But maybe? I mean I wouldn’t say no? Must be a slow news day in Spain.

The Daily Buzz

What’s the best sports rumor you’ve ever heard? A friend of mine claimed that Frank de Boer was staying in a posh hotel near Southampton and was imminently going to be announced as the new Saints manager a few years back... I think it might have been when Mark Hughes ended up getting the job.
