Good Morning Fear The Wall
Borussia Dortmund are so pleased with Jude Bellingham’s progress they’ve decided to pursue the whole family. BILD is reporting that BVB are interested in bringing in Jude’s younger brother Jobe.
Jobe has just turned 16 years old and primarily plays as a winger. He hasn’t made any appearances for Birmingham yet, but he has been included in their matchday squad on several occasions, even at age 15.
Borussia Dortmund wants to do everything possible to keep Jude Bellingham, who fully identifies with the club, for the long term, which is why they want to sign his brother. Mother Bellingham already lives with Jude in Dortmund and often drives him to training.— BVB Newsblog (@bvbnewsblog) October 25, 2021

While it’s not uncommon for teams to sign players that are either friends or relatives of their most gifted stars, in order to appease the star and make life a little easier for them, I don’t think that’s the whole story here. Jobe is widely regarded as a talent in his own right, so while it is possible that this is just a play to keep Jude happy, there’s every chance he can develop into a top player in the future.
Perhaps Jobe isn’t the only Bellingham BVB should pursue. Jude’s dad, Mark Bellingham, is a non-league legend, bagging more than 700 goals for clubs around the Midlands in a career spanning 20 years. I’ve heard Borussia Dortmund are in the need of a target man right now.

I’m off to Stamford Bridge tonight, ticking off another on my list of stadiums I want to visit. Not including Westfalenstadion (because it’s too obvious), what football stadium would you most like to visit?
