Good morning, Fear The Wall!
No Jude Bellingham for RB Leipzig, but Youssoufa Moukoko Returns
According to RN, Jude Bellingham will miss this Saturday’s pivotal Bundesliga match against RB Leipzig with a foot injury. It is the same foot injury that kept him out of the Wolfsburg match this past Sunday. Bellingham has played well in his first year with the club, so his absence in a struggling central midfield against one of the most explosive clubs in the league will certainly put more pressure on struggling players like Axel Witsel.
Ohne Jude #Bellingham startet der #BVB die Vorbereitung auf das Topspiel in #Leipzig. Besser sieht es bei Youssoufa #Moukoko aus. Unterdessen erlebt Marcel #Schmelzer frustrierende Wochen: https://t.co/oXIkRKEBAE #RBLBVB (Foto: imago) pic.twitter.com/r5UZoqXFnK

However, there’s good news in that injury report: Youssoufa Moukoko looks set to return from his brief injury spell. Moukoko missed the Pokal match and the Bundesliga match against Wolfsburg with a knee injury. While Steffen Tigges has filled in well for Dortmund with Moukoko and Erling Haaland both injured before the brief pause, it will be nice to see Moukoko return to the first team and resume his professional development with BVB. Also, it’s really nice to have depth at the center forward position.
Leipzig will also be without a few important offensive players, such as Justin Kluivert (calf), Christopher Nkunku (ankle), and Ibrahima Konate (ankle). Newcomer Dominik Szoboszlai is also in line to miss some time with an adductor injury, meaning fans will have to wait for his Leipzig debut after coming over from RB Salzburg for a reported €20 million fee.
