The Daily Bee (August 28, 2020): Sancho Shines in Training

Good morning, Fear the Wall.

I feel like we’ve talked a lot about other clubs a lot over the last few days, so lets bring everything back to Borussia Dortmund. The club’s been in training in Switzerland over the last few weeks, and while most of the players’ attention has been on preparing mentally and physically for the upcoming season, there have been a few interesting highlights that I’d like to share today, mostly coming from BVB’s twitter page.

Sancho Ends Morey’s (?) Career

Jadon Sancho, who according to my notes does indeed still play for BVB, ended the career of a player who I’m about 85% sure is Mateu Morey (it’s hard to tell at this distance) with this filthy nutmeg. Not only did he nutmeg Morey, but he smashed a shot into the goal to complete the play.

Hazard’s Chip Against Duisburg

This play came during Borussia Dortmund’s 5-1 victory against MSV Duisburg in a friendly. Hazard floated a perfect chipped pass to Gio Reyna, who exhibited excellent ball control to bring the shot down and finish the shot.
