Olympique Marseille Chasing Balerdi
Good thing, too, otherwise I wouldn’t have anything else to talk about! Joking aside, Mercato, a French outlet, have reported that Olympique Marseille are interested in signing Leo Balerdi, BVB’s young Argentine center back, on loan with an option to buy.

This probably would be a positive move for Balerdi’s development. Borussia Dortmund have a decent group of center backs, and it will be very hard for Balerdi to squeeze in front of Mats Hummels, Manuel Akanji, Dan-Axel Zagadou, or even Emre Can. Balerdi looked shaky in his few appearances towards the end of the season, so maybe he could use a spell in France to gain some experience starting regularly before he comes back to Borussia Dortmund.
