Good morning, Fear the Wall.
Are you ready for a whole bunch of injuries?
Marco Reus Re-injures Adductors
According to a statement from Borussia Dortmund, Marco Reus has had a serious setback in his campaign to get back to match fitness. He’s been rehabbing a tear in his hip adductors for several months, and now has reportedly developed tendinitis, or inflammation, in these same muscles. How long it can take to recover from tendinitis tends to vary, but it can be weeks or ever months before he’s read to suit up for BVB.

Der Kapitän hat jedoch Probleme mit einer Sehnenentzündung an der bereits zuvor verletzten Adduktorenmuskulatur und fällt auf unbestimmte Zeit aus.

Mats Hummels Injures Ankle
Marco isn’t the only one nursing an injury. Mats Hummels suffered an ankle injury, and should be ready to return by the time BVB begin training in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland in a few weeks. While this short timeframe may sound like good news, it’s worth pointing out that ankle injuries can have a tendency to linger far longer than initially thought. Just look at Harry Kane, who has struggled with a lack of pace for years due to ankle injuries he’s suffered, and only just now seems to be finding his form again. Hopefully the injury isn’t too serious, and Mats will be able to fully recover by the time the season begins.
