Finally some more transfer news from BVB. This time however its outgoing as BVB has released Andre Schurrle from his current contract which was set to expire in 2021. This is a nice move since Schurrle definitely could have hung around and collected a paycheck from BVB. Andre came to BVB in 2016 and was our most expensive ever signing at the time. There was much hype around his signing as he was a veteran player who could push BVB to a title. Unfortunately he never impressed at BVB and has spent the last few seasons on loan at Fulham and Spartak Moscow. Schurrle may stay with Spartak Moscow although there have been rumors that he could head to the championship next season.

While it is disappointing BVB received nothing on its large investment for Schurrle at least we were able to end things amicably.

Good luck wherever you end up Andre!
