Well after a few weeks of rumors, its official. BVB have signed Belgian defender Thomas Meunier from PSG on a free. Meuneir is 28 and has played for PSG for the past 4 years. He will be an invaluable pick up for a BVB squad with an aging fullback core.

With Marcel and Piz playing into their 30’s and Hakimi most likely leaving for Real Madrid, Meunier will be a starter right away for BVB. Thomas has played alongside Axel Witsel on the Belgian Mens National team for years so he should fit in right away. Getting a player of this caliber on a free is great work from Zorc & co. A great start to business this summer for BVB. Hopefully this is just the first good announcement of many. Also for those who may not be up to date on European football transfers, Meunier will not be available for our game this Saturday, the contract will run from July to July as all contracts do in European football.
What do you think about Thomas Muenier joining BVB?
