Good Morning, Fear the Wall.

Arminia Bielefeld Win the 2. Bundesliga

It’s official: Arminia Bielefeld are champions of the 2. Bundesliga, and will be promoted to the Bundesliga next season to compete alongside the best teams in Germany. They secured the title with a 1-0 win against Darmstadt. It will be the first time that Bielefeld have played in the Bundesliga since 2009. Since then, Bielefeld have struggled in the 2nd division, even falling down into the 3. Bundesliga. But they’ve managed to right the ship, and under the leadership of manager Uwe Neuhaus, have secured a return to the Bundesliga.

Bürki Extends his Contract

Roman Bürki has extended his contract with Borussia Dortmund through 2023. Bürki has had an up and down track record with BVB, struggling at times while exceeding expectations at other times, but there’s no question that he plays a major leadership role within the locker room.
