  • BVB in contact with Torres (Goal + Spox)

Valencia’s Ferran Torres is one of the most talented young players in the world right now and several top teams are chasing the winger right now. According to both Goal and Spox the list of potential suitors is quite long; FC Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Juventus Turin, Atletico Madrid and Ajax Amsterdam are said to be interested. In addition Bayern Munich have scouted Torres this season.

However, both outlets claim Borussia Dortmund are currently the closest to Torres. The black and yellows would likely try to sign the Spaniard as a potential replacement for Jadon Sancho if he were to leave. In that case the money would be there to sign a player like Torres who has a 100€ million release clause but who could be available for less given that Valencia could be forced to sell him or lose him for free in 2021 when his contract ends.

Torres was in the midst of his first season as a full starter for Valencia, in 35 matches across all competitions he scored 6 goals and added 7 assists. The current pandemic also prevented the 20-year-old from making his debut for Spain’s national team as he would have very likely been nominated for the matched that should have taken place right now.

Mario Götze will leave Borussia Dortmund this summer once his contract ends and it looks like he will leave the Bundesliga for good and join a Serie A side. The 2014 World Cup winner has reportedly had talks with AS Roma’s sporting director Gianluca Petrachi about a move this summer, concrete negotiations will take place in the coming weeks.
