The bad news piles on for BVB. After being eliminated from the Pokal yesterday, the team has announced Reus has been injured and will miss 4 weeks of play. The injury came late in the game as well when we were already losing, just to add dirt to the wound.
Reus has found his footing since having a rough Ruckrunde, although yesterday he played absently. Hopefully there wasn't a lingering issue from training that was aggravated in the game thus explaining the poor form.
This injury will provide the opportunity for more play time from Hazard and Reyna which is good news for both players. Reyna in particular scored a great goal yesterday, if he can score goals like that consistently I don’t think BVB will be too hurt by Marco’s absence.
Marco will miss both legs vs PSG and all leagues games up to BMG at the earliest. The team will have to rally without their captain. Hope you feel better Marco!
