- Champions League
The Champions League resumes to day with Bayern Munich traveling to the Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea. The Bavarians should be considered the favorites against the Premier League side and could add to a perfect record for Bundesliga teams in Europe this year.
In the other match today Napoli will host Barcelona and hope to surprise the Spanish side.
Not to be missed!

- PSG in trouble for the return leg
Paris St. Germain will miss some key players in the return leg of the round of 16 in the Champions Legaue. It was already clear after BVB’s 2:1 victory last week that Thomas Meunier and Marco Verratti would miss the game because of suspensions but now you can add Thiago Silva, Colin Dagba and Ander Herrera to the list because of injuries. Thomas Tuchel will have to get creative, especially in midfield, for the second leg in a couple weeks.
Jonathan David has been one of the breakout stars for KAA Gent in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League with 22 goals and 10 assists in 37 games across all competitions. The 20-year-old offensive midfielder has gathered a lot of interest from European top clubs and Borussia Dortmund seems to be one of them. Gent would like to keep the Canadian international but his agent Nick Mavromaras was pretty clear that his player will move on:
“Without a doubt: Jonathan is ready for the next step. Gent started his career, the club did a lot for him. I understand that they would like to keep him longer, but Jonathan wants to move forward. The Belgian league is fantastic for young players, but the moment for the next step is coming and it will be in the summer.”
David is certainly an interesting player for BVB if they look for reinforcements in the summer but there will be a lot of competition for the player.
Last week news broke about a change in kit-sponsors for Borussia Dortmund. Longtime sponsor Evonik will only be on the Cup-kits from next season on while 1&1 will take over in the Bundesliga.
Evonik was also one of the major shareholders of Borussia Dortmund but it looks like the company will reduce their shares. The company announced that they will sell 4,95% of BVB shares which is worth approximately 35€ million. However, Evonik will still stay the biggest investor with 9,83% of the shares.
According to France football Borussia Dortmund have made Eduardo Camavinga a priority this summer. The black and yellows would be willing to spend between 50-60€ million for the defensive midfielder from Stade Rennes. Camavinga (17) still has a contract until 2022 but could possibly be convinced to leave the French side and BVB could see him as an eventual replacement for Axel Witsel.

Jadon Sancho’s BVB exit this summer seemed like a foregone conclusion but according to the usually well informed Ruhr Nachrichten the youngster could possibly stay in Dortmund for a bit longer. RN claims Sancho is “very comfortable” in Dortmund “shows no signs of wanting to leave the club”. In addition, as of now, there have been no official offers of even requests for the winger.
Even though the black and yellows will likely receive offers from every single top team in Europe this summer Dortmund could technically turn them all down. Sancho still has a contract for two more years, so even if he refuses to extend BVB could still hang onto him for one more year and then sell him next year. Convincing Sancho to stay for at least one more season could be huge for BVB, Michael Zorc and Hans-Joachim Watzke should do everything in their power to make it happen.
