Good morning, Fear the Wall.

Michael Zorc NOT satisfied with a point against Frankfurt

Last weekend, Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre made some controversial statements about how he was okay with a draw against Frankfurt, and how he’s always happy with BVB’s performance, especially in the first half. BVB sporting director Michael Zorc, however, does not share this sentiment. According to Ruhr Nachrichten,

We definitely didn’t go out like lions, you have to say that. It’s a shame that we didn’t manage to score the winner, it was possible. And it would have been valuable, because our competition [in the league] does not allow many mistakes. A performance like in the second half must be our yardstick for a full 90 minutes

Bayer Leverkusen Beat Schalke

Schalke just can’t catch a break, can they? After yesterday’s defeat at the hands of Peter Bosz’s Bayer Leverkusen, the Smurfs are now 0-7-3 and just... look awful. They were dismal against Leverkusen today, starting with an own goal from Malick Thiaw. Steven Skrzybski also missed a penalty, which is pretty funny:

With their win, Bayer Leverkusen have propelled themselves to 2nd place in the Bundesliga, a single point behind Bayern Munich. Leverkusen and Wolfsburg are now the only remaining undefeated sides in the Bundesliga.
