Well that was a tough loss to take. Borussia Dortmund traded punches with Bayern Munich, but ended up losing 3-2. It was a close game, but Dortmund’s finishing was poor, a lot of which can be blamed on Erling Haaland. He didn’t seem able to make the most of his several chances. He did end up scoring, but it was too little too late. It’s hard to be mad about that though, given how consistent he has been since joining Dortmund.

According to ESPN, BVB’s xG was 2.48, to Bayern’s 1.52. That’s a tough loss. I don’t know what else to say, other than that this was really disappointing. I find it easier to disconnect from a game when my team takes a hiding, but it really felt like Dortmund should have come away with something today.

What did you guys think? Who was Dortmund’s best player? Let us know who you thought deserved the man of the match by voting in the poll below. I’ve narrowed the choices down to those that I (and others) thought had good games. And if you think someone else deserves the award, let us know in the comments!
