All is well in the world. Borussia Dortmund picked up all three points in their first game back after the international break, beating Hertha Berlin 5-2 at the Olympiastadion. Despite a pretty poor first half, in which BVB went down 1-0 to a brilliant effort by Matheus Cunha, Dortmund ended up comfortable winners thanks to four goals from Erling Haaland and a Rapha Guerreiro goal to make up the numbers.
The first half was pretty even, though that seemed to be more a product of BVB underperforming than Hertha Berlin looking especially good, but Dortmund turned it up a gear in the second half. They conceded a 2nd Cunha goal from the penalty spot after Guendouzi was scythed down by a light gust, but otherwise Dortmund were ruthless after the break. Haaland needed about 25 minutes to put the game to bed, taking his Bundesliga tally to 10 for the season.
To add to the excitement, 16 year old phenom, Youssoufa Moukoko, came on to become the youngest player in Bundesliga history. No doubt this will add to the hype surrounding the young striker, which is now growing by the day.
So what did you make of the game? Let us know who you thought deserved the man of the match by voting in the poll below. You have four options, one of which is obviously the right answer, and three of which are just there to make up the numbers and give the contrarians something to do. If you think that the real man of the match didn’t make the list, you are wrong and you are stupid. But go ahead and tell us in the comments.
