Good morning, Fear The Wall!
Sancho Assists in 4-0 England win
In the final international fixtures of the window, Jadon Sancho came off the bench for England and dished out an assist in a 4-0 win over Iceland in UEFA Nations League for the Three Lions.
All Jadon needed was 5 minutes on the pitch to find himself an assist https://t.co/4hP5SeuD9x

Sancho wasted no time for England as he came off the bench in the 75th minute and proceeded to assist Phil Foden in putting the nail in Iceland’s coffin that match.
Unfortunately, the 4-0 win wouldn’t be enough for England to top their Nations League group as Belgium and its Dortmund contingent topped the group to advance to the Nations League Semi-Final after winning 4-2 over Denmark.

Axel Witsel, Thorgan Hazard and Thomas Meunier will join the Red Devils as Belgium, France, Spain, and hosts Italy all move on to the four-team semi-final. The draw is scheduled for December 3, as long as COVID doesn’t worsen to the point of cancellation for European matches.
While I usually don’t have a problem with international fixtures as it’s kind of fun to watch these quasi all-star teams battle it out and represent their countries, in times of COVID it all feels strange to have international matches. COVID is spiking throughout the world and while it appears that national FAs are taking the necessary precautions to limit infections (shoutout to Norway for sending their players back to their clubs after their Nations League match against Romania was cancelled), it just doesn’t feel right to be sending players across the continent for games.

Thank God the international window is finished, right?
