Reyna, just 17 years old, has been very impressive at Borussia Dortmund as both winger and midfielder. He has earned 1 goal and 3 assists so far this season. Son of American soccer players Claudio Reyna and Danielle Egan, Reyna is primed to be the next big thing in American soccer. At BVB he will grow just as America’s best player, Christian Pulisic, did before him. Dortmund will benefit greatly with Reyna solidly in the young core of this team along Erling Haaland, Jadon Sancho, and Jude Bellingham. Hopefully with the nice new long contract, Gio will be at BVB for years to come.
Reyna is currently with the USMNT for international break, where he is all but guaranteed to get some playing time against Wales later today.
