Dortmund announced today that Emre Can has tested positive for Covid-19. He is understood to be asymptomatic and in quarantine, but he will obviously miss the match tomorrow against Schalke. The rest of the team and staff have been tested and all other tests came back negative. But, the continued march of positive tests further demonstrates the risks that the players and staff are taking. How many of them will test positive before this is over? We all wish good health and a speedy recovery for Can.

Dortmund has a very busy schedule in the next two weeks. After a poor showing at Lazio, it was expected that Can would help to stabilize the defense in the upcoming games. With Emre Can out, Favre might be forced to get creative again. Will Akanji be ready for a full ninety minutes after he only recently recovered himself? Will Delaney be asked to deputize in defense again? Leave your thoughts below.
