Borussia Dortmund would like to sign Emre Can from Juventus but it isn’t as easy for Michael Zorc. In order to be able to sign the central midfielder/centre-back the black and yellows will need to sell one player first, most likely Paco Alcacer. The Spaniard wants to return home and Valencia is the most likely destination who in return can only buy Alcacer if they sell Rodrigo first (Barcelona is interested in the striker).
Nevertheless, BVB seem to have already an agreement with Juventus to buy Can. According to Italian outlets the fee will be around 23€ million for the German international.
PSG’s star midfielder Marco Verratti has talked about the upcoming Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund and has desrcibed the club as a “mad team”:
“We’re not thinking about that game right now really. We’re in a real marathon of matches, we’re trying to focus and not think about the next one. Personally, I love football, and I watch games. I sometimes watch Dortmund matches, of course, because we’re going to play them. They’re a bit of a ‘mad’ team, anything can happen with them. They can be behind and then totally turn the game around. They never give up, they play with a lot of desire. We’ll have to be very careful and be at our best when we play them.”
To be honest this is a fair assessment of BVB, especially this season with a lot of ups and downs. Dortmund are probably not the favorites but it wouldn’t be surprising for BVB to put on a brilliant performance and eliminate PSG. It would also not be shocking if Dortmund get smashed...this is going to be interesting.
- No contact between Hakimi and Bayern
There have been rumors about a possible transfer of Achraf Hakimi to Bayern Munich this summer. The fullback is with BVB on loan from Real Madrid who have a decision to make this summer, either keep him or sell him to one of the interested clubs. Dortmund hold an advantage with a supposed “matching right” if Real decide to sell.
Bayern Munich are rumored to be interested but according to his agent Alejandro Camaño there has been no contact so far (cited by journalist Kerry Hau): “FC Bayern is a big club, but we know nothing about any interest. Nobody contacted us.”
