The versatile offensive player had joined the black and yellows for the exact same sum in 2017 and played 51 games for the club (11 goals, 8 assists). Maximilian Philipp will be Dynamo’s record signing and the second BVB-player who has joined a Moscow based club this summer after André Schürrle joined Spartak.
Maximilian Philipp thanked Borussia Dortmund and their fans in an official statement:
“It was very special for me to play for Borussia Dortmund and I would like to thank the black and yellow family for their support over the past two years. For me, at this age it is a priority to have as much playing time as possible, I’m looking forward to a new challenge now.“
