Finally football is back! Borussia Dortmund will play the first friendly of the pre-season against FC Schweinberg, an 8th league team. Schweinberg is a small town of just 700 people but have “won” a friendly against BVB thanks to a competition from club sponsor Aral.

This will not really be an indicative game for the upcoming season considering that most players that started practice on Wednesday won’t participate. It’s possible that some youth players will get a chance to prove themselves.

The game will be at 17.30h CET and will be BVB-TV, Youtube and Facebook.

• Philipp transfer to Wolfsburg close (Bild)

Borussia Dortmund are trimming their roster and Maximilian Philipp is seemingly the next player who will leave. Bild report the versatile offensive player is close to joining VfL Wolfsburg for 18€ million. However the transfer will only happen if Wolfsburg are able to sell Josip Brekalo who they want to sell for about 20€ million.

Philipp is a talented player but there is just no spot for him on BVB’s squad. A change would be the best possible outcome for all parties involved.

• New away kit

BVB have presented their new away kit for the upcoming season, similar to previous years the kit will be mostly black. What do you think?
