Borussia Dortmund’s U19 youth team has won the German championship with a 5:3 victory over VfB Stuttgart. It did not look good for BVB at first, Stuttgart found the lead very early on which Dortmund was able to equalize shortly after but defensive missteps led to a 3:1 Stuttgart lead at halftime.

In the second half the black and yellows were able to turn it around thanks to a red card for Stuttgart’s Mack and some tactical and personnel changes from coach Benjamin Hoffmann. In the end goals from Pherai (2x), Besong (2x) and Pena-Zauner sealed the title for Dortmund.

Ex-BVB player Ousmane Dembélé had an uneven season for Barcelona and there are once again rumors suggesting the Frenchman could leave the Spanish club. Dortmund would profit from an early exit of Dembélé as Bild suggest the black and yellows would receive 17€ million which would push the total to 142€ million.

Ahead of the Champions League final which Hans-Joachim Watzke attended, he talked to DAZN about Mario Götze’s situation and seemed confident that he’ll play for Dortmund next season. Watzke revealed that Götze had not demanded a transfer and that he would “see no reason why he would leave”.

The stalling contract negotiations are still a cause for concern but Dortmund seem willing to keep Götze even he doesn’t extend. Nevertheless this will probably be a topic all off-season long unless Götze signs a new deal or he is sold.

According to Bild Dortmund leave it to Marcel Schmelzer himself to make the decision if he stays or not. The former captain did not get much playing time under Lucien Favre but it seems like the left back wants to stay in Dortmund. Schmelzer still has a contact until 2021.
