BVB’s U17 team will play the final for the German championship this Sunday against 1.FC Cologne, the game will be played in Dortmund’s Rote Erde stadium. Dortmund beat VfL Wolfsburg to reach the final while Cologne beat Bayern Munich.

Hertha Berlin’s Niklas Stark has a 25€ million release clause that can be activated until the end of June according to kicker. BVB was recently one of the clubs that was rumored to be interested so if Dortmund want to acquire Stark they would have to do so relatively soon.

  • DFB Cup draw

64 teams are in the pots when the first DFB Cup round will be drawn on Saturday (18.00h CET). Of course all of the first and 2.Bundesliga teams will be in the draw as well as nine teams from the 3.Liga, 13 Regionalliga sides, 6 Oberliga teams and one team from the 6th league which is FSV Salmrohr. The first round will be played during the second week of August. BVB made a list with all the possible opponents in the first round:

  • Bundesliga transfers

Bayer Leverkusen: The transfer isn’t official just yet but it looks like Bayer have found their replacement for Julian Brandt. According to several report Bayer will buy Moussa Diaby from PSG for 15€ million. The highly rated offensive talent could not get much playing time in PSG’s star studded squad which should definitely change in Leverkusen where he could develop into one of the Bundesliga’s next young stars.

1.FSV Mainz 05: Mainz found success with recruiting young players from Ligue 1 and they continue that trend with Ronaël Pierre-Gabriel from AS Monaco. The 21-year-old right back will join Mainz for 6€ million which gives them an impressive fullback-combo with Aaron Martin on the left side.

Hertha BSC Berlin: Eduard Löwen will join Hertha Berlin for the upcoming season from Nürnberg. Berlin will pay 7€ million for the central midfielder and hope he can help lead them back into the top 6.

VfL Wolfsburg: The wolves are trying to bolster their roster for the upcoming season where they will have to play in the Europa League and they have done so by signing Paulo Otavio from FC Ingolstadt. The Brazilian left back will likely be a back-up for Jerome Roussillion who was one of the breakout players of the past season.

  • FIFA Women’s World Cup

There will be three games today in the WWC. 2011 champions Japan will take on Scotland, Jamaica will play Italy and England play Argentina.
