A day after kicker reported about BVB’s continued interest in Julian Brandt, Bild adds to the speculation saying that Michael Zorc met Julian Brandt’s father three weeks ago to talk about a possible transfer this summer.

Meanwhile Bayern Munich’s interest in the midfielder seems to have cooled off. According to Bild Bayern have doubts about his consistency and his mentality or as the report says his lack of “mia-san-mia-mentality”.

  • BVB delegation travel to Israel

  • Europa League

Eintracht Frankfurt continue to impress in the Europa League. The last remaining international Bundesliga club was able to stay unbeaten at home in the competition against Chelsea.

The Premier League team is the favorite in the semifinal match-up but Frankfurt was the better team in the first 30 minutes and got the lead through their star striker Luka Jovic in the 23rd minute. Thereafter Chelsea picked up the pace and were able to equalize just before halftime thanks to Pedro.

In the second half Chelsea was the better team but they could not get a second goal. This is obviously a favorable result for Chelsea but Frankfurt still have a chance to get through to the final next week in London.

The second London based club had a better evening beating Valencia 3:1 at home. Valencia still has a chance but it will be tough to turn in around at home next Thursday.

Daily Buzz: Who should play at right back against Werder Bremen? Marius Wolf is suspended for the rest of the season and Achraf Hakimi is out with an injury, that leaves Lukasz Piszczek who has returned from his injury. Lucien Favre confirmed that he’s been back in team training but did not want to say if Piszczek is actually starting.
