  • Skibbe and Addo return to BVB

Borussia Dortmund have officially announced the returns of Otto Addo and Michael Skibbe to BVB.

Addo’s return had already been rumored in the last few days. The former BVB midfielder that won the Bundesliga title in 2001/02 with Dortmund, will work mostly with youth players to help them transition to the pro-level.

Michael Skibbe already worked for the black and yellows from 1989 to 2000. He worked in different position at the youth level before eventually making the jump to first team coach in 1998 which lasted until 2000. Skibbe will return as a youth coach to Dortmund and will coach BVB’s U19 team. Benjamin Hoffmann who will coach the team until the end of the season will get a new position as sporting director for the youth teams.

  • Champions League

The semifinals for the Champions League are set, Tootenham Hotspur and Liverpool have advanced to the next round and will face Ajax Amsterdam and FC Barcelona.

Jürgen Klopp’s team had no trouble winning against FC Porto in convincing fashion and will now meet Barcelona in the semifinal which will be an interesting tie.

Manchester City vs Tottenham was an extremely close game and in the end the Spurs advanced thanks to a wild match and a last second goal which was correctly disallowed by VAR. The Spurs will now meet Ajax in a semifinal that probably nobody expected when the competition started.
