  • BVB linked to two Ajax-players

Ajax Amsterdam is one of the most exciting young teams in Europe with many talented young stars that will likely move on to bigger clubs this summer. Two of them, David Neres and Donny van de Beek, are being linked to Borussia Dortmund.

It’s no secret that BVB already wanted to sign Neres last summer but Ajax blocked Dortmund’s 33€ million offer and once again denied a transfer in the January transfer window according to The Telegraph. The report claims Everton and Arsenal are now interested with several other European top clubs also keeping tabs on the young winger. Ajax will demand at least 40€ million for Neres and it’s very doubtful that Dortmund will enter a bidding war at this point.

The second Ajax player linked to the black and yellows, Donny van de Beek, is a central midfielder and would be a great addition to BVB’s midfield but just like Neres, many European top clubs will enter the race to sign him if he’s made available by Ajax. Two of those interested clubs are PSG and Tottenham Hotspur according to L’Equipe,

  • Europa League

The last German team remaining in an international competition, Eintracht Frankfurt, lost in a wild match against Benfica Lisbon.

Frankufrt’s Ndicka caused an early penalty and got sent off which of course completely changed the game for Adi Hütter’s team. Eintracht managed to keep the game relatively close and score two away goals in their 2:4 loss which gives them a decent chance to turn things around at home but it will be difficult against an experienced team like Benfica.

Daily Buzz: BVB will have a chance to get back to the top of the Bundesliga, at least for one day. How should they line-up against Mainz and what are your predictions for this matchday?
