- Matchday 25 Recap
Borussia Dortmund got a crucial 3:1 win against VfB Stuttgart but still lost the lead in the table because of Bayern’s 6:0 thrashing of Wolfsburg. The Bavarians are now in first place thanks to the goal differential.
Gladbach was also able to stop a streak of 4 games without a victory with their win over Mainz and were able to close the gap on RB Leipzig who drew against FC Augsburg.
Bayer Leverkusen are also still in the race for a top 4 spot with a crazy win against Hannover 96. The Bosz-team got a 2 goal lead before Hannover was able to equalize in the second half but thanks to a late goal from Havertz were still able to secure the three points. The game also had one of the weirdest incidents in recent memory when a sure Hannover goal was stopped on the goalline because of heavy snow.
Meanwhile Schalke can’t get their season back on track, a 2:4 loss in Bremen still has them stuck in the relegation zone. The Royal Blues are extremely lucky that their competition at the bottom of the table all lost, Stuttgart to BVB, Nürnberg to Hoffenheim and Hannover to Leverkusen.
Today Fortuna Düsseldorf will take on Eintracht Frankfurt to cap off matchday 25.

- BVB loan watch
Alexander Isak’s loan to Dutch club Willem II Tilburg continues to be a success. The young striker scored a brace in a 3:2 win over De Graafschap and has now scored 5 goals in 8 games since joining Willem II. If Isak continues to develop he might become an option for BVB once again in the future.

Besiktas is currently in 3rd place, the title is already too far of with them trailing Basaksehir by 13 points but Galatasaray in second place is now just 2 points ahead.
