  • Cucurella changes his agent

Marc Cucurella from SD Eibar has recently been linked to a move to Borussia Dortmund who are on the lookout for new fullbacks. The left back who is on loan from Barcelona has now changed his agent and is represented by EMG Mundial Sports Media GmbH, a company that has its headquarters in Hamburg Germany and is also representing BVB player Jeremy Toljan and Max Kruse. This is of course not a confirmation that he’ll move to a German club but an interesting development nonetheless.

Borussia Dortmund are not just looking for a new fullback but are also keen on adding a central midfielder and are in a good position to sign Maximilian Eggestein according to Sportbuzzer.

The 22-year old has had a breakout season with Werder Bremen and is rumored to get a call up to the German national team soon. Eggestein’s contract is running out in 2020 and has refused to sign an extension until now which indicates that he could move this summer an he does seem to be inclined to move:

“I know what I have in Bremen” [...] “I’m confident that I can play for a top club. The moment has come to deal more intensively with a decision. You have to ask yourself if a change makes sense.“

  • Isak advances to Dutch Cup final

Alexander Isak moved in January on loan to Dutch club Willem II Tilburg and has now helped them reach the Dutch Cup final. AZ Alkmaar got the lead in the first half but Isak was able to score the equalizer in the 64th minute which sent the game into extra time. After 120 minutes tha scoreline was still just 1:1 so the decision had to come through a penalty shootout. Both goalkeepers were exceptional saving a total of 6 penalties, in the end Isak scored on Willem II’s last penalty to send them to the final.
