- Matchday 22 recap
Matchday 22 had no real surprises so far with most favorites being able to win their games although in some cases it was relatively close.
Augsburg was almost able to help BVB out but in the end they still fell 2:3 to Bayern Munich despite having the lead twice. In the end the individual quality from Bayern was to much and they were able to get the three points.
Borussia Mönchengladbach were not able to win their duel with Eintracht Frankfurt, only getting a draw which probably drops them out of the title race for good. RB Leipzig solidified their spot in the top 4 with a 3:1 victory in Stuttgart, who are still stuck in the relegation zone.
Meanwhile Schalke are still not able to escape the bottom of the table, they only drew in their home game with Freiburg and are stuck in 14th place.
Bayer Leverkusen and ex-BVB coach Peter Bosz are continuing their good form with another win in the Bundesliga and climbing up to fifth place, their highest position this season. After a horrendous start to the season, Leverkusen was able to right the ship and they are now just five points out of the top 4.

Borussia Dortmund will be looking to add a winger this summer with Christian Pulisic leaving for Chelsea. As of right now it seems that Thorgan Hazard is the front-runner for the position but BVB are keeping their options open.
According to Bild another option could be Allan Saint-Maximin from Lucien Favre’s ex-club OGC Nice. The 21-year old right winger is supposedly one of Favre’s favorite players and could be available this summer for the right price. In 22 games in the Ligue 1 so far this season Saint-Maximin has scored 6 goals and added 3 assists.
- Pulisic injured for Nürnberg game
Christian Pulisic will miss today’s match in Nürnberg because of a rupture of a muscle fibre that he suffered in the 0:3 loss in the Champions League against Tottenham Hotspur. The young American winger will also surely miss next week’s game against Bayer Leverkusen, however it is not yet clear what the exact timetable for his return is.
Daily Buzz: With Pulisic out who should start on offense?
