The first half of the season is now over, and we’ve entered the dreadful (but ultimately good) winter break period. It’s been a trip. We’re 4th in the Bundesliga, and we’re in the Round of 16 of the DFB Pokal and the Champions League, but there have been some ups and downs. I’m sure you’ve all got plenty of opinions about the club, the season so far, and about who should be praised or blamed for where we are at this point. So now you’ve got a chance to express those opinions.
We’re running a fan survey to gather everyone’s thoughts on the club and the season, as well as a survey asking for your thoughts about the site. All responses will be completely anonymous, and your responses won’t be used to mock you later on, so please feel free to give as brutally honest an assessment as possible, for both surveys. Even if your opinions are really bad, that’s okay, we won’t judge you.
I’d also like to extend credit to our favorite Bayern fan, at_sunshine, as I stole the idea for this survey from the weekly surveys he produces for the BFW community.
Hinrunde Survey
We’ve created a fan survey that will collect your opinions on Borussia Dortmund, as well as your thoughts on the season so far and the future of the club as a whole. It’s easy to lose sight of how the majority of people feel on the internet, especially on social media, as moderate opinions will often get buried by a sea of hot takes and extremist views, so a survey gives us the opportunity to take stock in a more precise manner.
The answers you give to these questions will offer some perspective on how the fan base feels about the direction the club is moving in. Responses will be used to analyze fan opinions in a follow-up article in January, so all of your thoughts will be valuable. We need as many responses as we can get, bigger samples means more data!
Site Survey
In addition, we’ve also produced a short survey about Fear The Wall, to collect your thoughts on our performance, and what you’d like to see more (or less) of at Fear The Wall. This will help inform future work on the website, and help us tailor content in the new year.
We will also share any interesting findings from this site survey, and by that I mean a wordcloud of all the abuse we receive.
Merry Surveying!
